Hi Stones fanatics,

this is a brand new upgrade. This time i went to the best available (to me) source files. So it is a completely new remaster, made from different source files.
I have done phase, level and pitch correction. In the end i made a new EQ. Also have changed the version of “Wild Horses”, on disc 1 (track 20), with another one.”Exile On Main Street Blues” is now also from unedited, longer version.
Also, SBE were fixed with TLH.
After working on this upgrade i was inspired to make another double disc, from the golden era 1968 – 1972. So Vol. 2 will follow soon.

Hi everybody,

This is not the same remaster of Renaldo And Clara Soundtrack as i did some time ago. This is also from Les Kokay`s torrent, but source files are different, much better than the source i have used for my previous remaster.

This is what Les said : ” To the best of my knowledge, this stereo projector source has never circulated.
This is the full 4hr soundtrack spread over 3 CDs.
I didn’t track this and as I’ve left it without any changes from me; it is as I received it many years ago.
This is not the same source that I used to make my stereo soundtrack CD back in 2000.”

I have edited out most of the dialogue, just left few bits in. As for remastering i did pitch, phase and levell correction. Also did some EQ

Since most of the talking is out ( and some bits of not so interesting music ) this now fits on 2 CD`s

Hi Dylan gang,

This compilation was created in 2010 by workingmanblues, and shared only as mp3.
I wanted to recreate it in lossless and fix some sound issues.
I have asked my friend Pink Robert to help. He found all of the original tracks in lossless (although there are still couple of mp3`s that could not be found lossless). He also did the edits on the tracks that were exclusive for this compilation and adopted the artwork for CD covers.

I have remastered each and every track here. What i did was : level, pitch & phase correction, new EQ and some cleaning of vinyl clicks (with pencil tool).
What i did not do was : compression, limiting or noise reduction

The Fillmore West material has also been released on the bootlegs Moonlight Serenade, the first disk of the 2-CD set Live in the USA, and Live in San Francisco 1970.

Review by Russell Parkinson:
[The Fillmore West] one hour show features Van and what will be the Caledonia Soul Orchestra performing all the Moondance album except for “Brand New Day”. Also included are two songs from Astral Weeks and an obligatory “Brown Eyed Girl”.

The sound is either radio broadcast or soundboard and is very good, especially considering the recording is nearly 30 years old.

The show kicks off with an excellent lively rendition of “Moondance”. “Glad Tidings” follows and although a quicker version than on the album this song remains, for me anyway, filler. A lovely soulful “Crazy Love” is next. Van sings this in his normal voice rather than falsetto. A six minute improvised “Come Running” misses rather than hits. In the middle of this song the band and van move off into a sixties rock organ/guitar kind of thing with some improvised lyrics. On first listening it sounds great bit after a while I find it disrupts a good song. Interesting but ultimately a bit disappointing.

“The Way Young Lovers Do” is a blast, a great lively version with excellent horns and piano. Everyone joins Glad Tidings in the filler category. “Brown Eyed Girl” is pretty standard. A good “And it Stoned Me” runs into an equally good “These Dreams of You”. The Last Waltz version of “Caravan” has always been my favorite but this one comes close. A thoroughly enjoyable version of a great song.

Van winds up with the longest “Cypress Avenue” I’ve heard. Heavy on organ and guitar you get to hear the ending twice! After the usual “its too late to stop now!” van introduces the band and reprises the whole ending from “and you were standing there.” amazing. Van then encores with a superb version of “Into The Mystic”. Very soulful, this must be close to being the best version of this song out there.

RATING
That organ/guitar thing sometimes dates this show but overall its a great boot. Not quite essential, mainly due to the narrow range of material played, I would give this a “Highly Recommended”. If you are a big “Moondance” fan then it’s probably a must.

My apologies to all. When I originally reseeded this
boot I assumed that the contents of the boot previously
seeded were clean. Unfortunately I did not listen to it
before seeding it. Upon relistening I heard many problems.
They have been all cleaned up and if you are game to download
the third version of this boot I can promise you that you
will have the best boot possible of this concert.
Plus the sector boundaries will read OK this time around
I have resectored the tracks so that the track
changes are seamless. The sound has not been changed.
