Comments from the original uploader: Here is the Bela set from the 3rd at Mountain Jam!This set includes the tail end of the Mtn. Jam’s 6-2,3-11 wind storm, very tough on the eyes if you happened by one of the dust clouds blowing by.Some loss of music during “Life In A Elevator” due to power failure.Very little wind gusts picked up in this recording although music has some level fluctuations most noteably in the first few songs. As always ENJOY!

Notes from the taper:

1)Quality IS About A For The Most Part.We Set Up On The Lawn And Then Were Told To Go Back Farther On The Lawn,But The Recording Still Came Out Really Good.

2)A Far As I can Tell,I Was The Only Taper There That Night,Or at Least I didn’t See Anyone Else With A Mic Stand,So This Could Very Well Be the Only Audience Source In Circulation. This Was The Same As Last Time I taped Him In The Same Venue 8/28/07.I Believe I Was The only Taper That Night Also.If Anyone Wants Me To Upload The Dat Master Of That Show,Leave A Note In The Comments Section.

3)My Friend Grabbed The Printed Setlist From The Stage At The End Of The Show,So Hopefully This Setlist Is Correct.

t1 – Alice’s Restaurant 19:01

Original Seeder Notes:
This is from my own collection. I recorded this on a reel deck from the radio one afternoon in 1966 during the WBAI Spring Fundraiser. I’m not sure of the exact date. I have to find my original notes from the
reel, but I’m sure it’s from 1966. It’s obvious that no one had ever heard this before by the reaction from those in the studio at the tiome of the broadcast.

I made the cassette copy some time ago. Some day I’ll re-transfer from the reel. There are a few minor level adjustments at the very beginning of the song.

This copy is considerably cleaner than most I’ve heard from this broadcast.

Original Notes by Hank R. :
This is an amazing early performance sourced from a mono PA recording. Arlo introduces “Alice’s Restaurant” as “Alice… Part 2,” but it’s essentially the version that we’ve all come to know and
love… Essential listening! Approx. 40m. Recommended!
