Converted by Jason Reiser

Notes: * This is commonly listed as DSBD. To my ear, this sounds like a
mix of board and audience mics. In particular, a pair of mics
are bumped at 63:36 (disc 1) – note the voices and right-to-left
scuffle. Also note at 8:27 (disc 2) somone says, “Chuck, watch
the fence”. This is probably one of the tapers. The board feed
is much louder than the audience mics in the mix, so I can see
why it may have been mislabeled so easily. Call it whatever you
like – it sounds wonderful.

Fixes: a few digital glitches removed- d1 16:06, 48:43, 63:54
it’s almost 100% now. 🙂
first 30 seconds of d1 was about -6dB on right – corrected.
(not a perfect fix, but a bunch better.)

Great full band show from Steve & The Dukes, touring in support of “Copperhead Road”, this show carries two distinct memories for me. It was LOUD during the full on band sections (my ears rang for days and as I recall I forgot my trusty ear plugs for just such occasions) and he broke a ton of strings…

Quality is excellent, loud, clean sound with no audience noise around me.

This is the first transfer to CD using the original taping equipment.

If you are mostly familiar with Steve’s more recent work and in need of a show that grabs you by the throat and won’t let go then look no further, Steve was dealing with many personal demons during this time and he played like an “Angry Young Man”.

As with all my audience recordings samples attached and if you grab it, play it LOUD!

Enjoy!
