That’s the main reason I collect so many of his shows. I don’t remember if my friend Dave went with me to this show or if I drove down by myself. I really enjoy recording in the Lobero because it has such great acoustics!

What a great way to start my 2014 concerts. Sting I have seen multiple times but had never gone to
see Paul Simon even though I had wanted to, it just hadn’t worked out. 2hours and 4o minutes of great
music was the treat we all got.. The volume was not very loud so unfortunetly you hear the crowd noise more than I would have
liked, but what can you do.

Note:
Battery Pack broke and didn’t know until I pressed record so first song start’s a verse late with a couple minor cuts within it but included it here edited for you to decide weather to keep or not.
This was a test on me to make a switch to internal mic recording which I hadn’t done until I had to with this show as an emergency shituation in the dark.
Turned out quite well in my opinion I think.
The bass bottom is a bit boomy in spots but can be adjusted down a bit be you when you are playing it.
I had a good elevated section with no one in front or next to me so couwd noise is all distant and blended fine.
Let me know what you think of my finished emergency switch recording and any advice you may have on using internal mics in the future?
I drove to this show from Portland, Or.and was amazed by this shw.
I have been to over 1200 shows in my Life and this show is in my Top Ten Shows now.
What a blend of styles, voices, and bands!!
Both Sting and Paul Simons bands together….WOW!! Once in a Lifetime Concert.

It was the perfect evening for a double-dose of adventurous music, especially challenging for me since I haven’t followed the careers of Bruce or Pat for decades. I was impressed with both sets, and thought that the selections from Kin were brilliant. My only complaint is that the volume of the music was rather low at the Filene Center. You’ll hear crickets in the background at various times, and not just during the soft parts. (I think they add to the atmosphere.) I was shocked when the guy in front of me put in ear plugs. I also had an aisle seat and was forced to stand multiple times to let people in and out, resulting in some occasional phasing and mic rustling. We decided to offer this as a single torrent since there was some cross-pollination of musicians and no intermission. I like it best as one seamless performance but you may download what you wish of course. And the best part of the entire evening? Meeting ethiessen1 for the first time and hanging out with him and J before and after the show.
