  1. This is kind of a one off. I managed to upload it several days ago when I was packing up the house. I’m now at my folks and I don’t suspect I’ll be up late enough to upload anything for awhile. But who knows. Thanks to all for hanging in there.

  2. Cheers Mat, I’ll have to dig out that Crystal Cat and have a listen. I’m sure CC do use other peoples sources for their bonus trax and they are never trax from other CC issues, so I guess the notes are correct. I find it interesting to use the bonus trax to try and work out where they get their ‘edge’ in sound terms. They obviously have exceptional qual mics and use multiple AUD captures but it is also clear that their post production is exceptional.
I have a kind of love hate relationship with Bob’s stuff from 04 so looking forward to another nteresting listen. This one seems to be too late in the year for any of the excellent country covers, less familiar with this later 04 stuff really.

ps nice to see i’m not the only person to spend time on my music archives when i should be concentrating on moving house/fixing the car or just generally sorting my life out!

    good effort

  3. Hi Mat/all

Anybody checked out any of the recent far far east shows?

pretty good stuff, similar in quality to the europe shows but (as you’d expect from Bob) a slightly different feel to the singing. I might even say a bit more ‘Bob’. Anyway some good shows circulating from the usual candidates to be found in the usual places

Apparently Empress Valley are releasing a 20 CD box set covering all the shows. Their first Bob release I believe. You never know it might turn up on T.U.B.E. someday. You might even consider it worthwhile to bring it to EDGE’s attention (as I intend to do) a request or two more couldn’t possibly hurt

    Take care all

Its been interesting. I’ve lost a lot of shows moving things from one hard drive to another. I think this is from shows not being downloaded well but me not noticing at first. But once I tried to move the files I ran into errors. Some of them might have been fixable but moving the stuff was such an enormous job I just decided to chuck anything that wasn’t moving easy. At this point I have so many shows I don’t really shed tears over losing one.

But goodness there are a lot of boxes we pulled from storage that contain who knows what.
