Thanks but I dont think this is from 1972 you Are So Beautiful was released MUCH later than that.
Hmmm. I just went by the notes that came with the download but I think you are correct. Cocker released the song in 1974 so that’s not too much later and its conceivable that he had performed it a couple of years before putting i out on record. I couldn’t find any info on when it was actually written. One note on etree notes that he calls out a performers name at some point in the show and that particular performer wasn’t with him until the 80s. Etree also lists an unknown date in 1980 (and New York as the city) with the same setlists as this. So it seems nobody really knows where or when it comes from.
